I think that from Athens and Sparta differed because Sparta was more of a power house and was isolated as apposed to the women of Athens who were guarded and not truly respected, they would have to ask the husband to buy every thing expensive they were babied and were married at a young age.
I think that there was not equality between men and women because men were more physically elite and were warriors, leaders, in a way they thought they were better.
I believe that artist depicted women as pure beauty or even something inappropriate.
